What are you going to learn on your PADI Open Water Referral course?

Your «Referral form» confirms that you have successfully finished two parts of the course already. To complete the training and obtain a PADI diver certificate, you need to do 4 dives in open water.

The practical part of the course is open water dives.

During PADI Open Water Diver Referral course you will complete 4 dives in open water in two days. While performing your training dives in open water you will demonstrate the skills learned previously in confined water (pool). At the end of each dive you will take an underwater tour and enjoy the underwater world of tropical coral reefs.

PADI Open Water Diver Referral course schedule on Koh Phangan

First day

08–00 Check in to Koh Tao on Thong Sala Pier, Koh Phangan 
08–30 — 10–00 High-speed ferry Phangan - Koh Tao
10–00 — 10–15 Meeting with your instructor on Koh Tao
10–15 Departure to dive sites for training dives (departure time may vary)
11–00 — 12–30 Briefing, first training dive in open water
12–30 — 13–30 Break on the dive boat, tea, coffee 
13–30 — 14–30 Briefing, second training dive in open water
15–00 Return to Koh Tao, accommodation check-in.

Second day:

10–00 Departure to dive sites for training dives (departure time may vary)
10–30 — 11–30 Briefing before the dive, third training dive in open water
11–30 — 12–30 Break on the dive boat, tea, coffee 
12–30 — 13–30 Forth training dive in open water
14–15 Return to Koh Tao, ferry check-in 
15–00 — 17–00 Transfer Koh Tao - Koh Phangan
