At the beginning of 2018, there was organized a new association «Koh Tao Dive Club». This association includes all Dive operators like Diving centers, Dive resorts, Diving boats, etc. and it’s action was approved by the Government of Suratthani Province and Koh Tao municipality.
The goal of this association is to create new rules for the regulation of the diving activity of Diving Centers and Dive Resorts because of dive business grow so fast for last years.
Association agreement requires all dive center and resorts on Koh Tao Island to offer the same minimal price for diving courses and programs and also, the minimum selling price for accommodation during the course starting from 1st December 2018. Minimal price is mandatory for all dive centers on the island, violation of this leads to a penalty from 50,000 to 150,000 THB (approx. 1,500 — 4,600 USD) for each event of violation for the Dive Center.
We were forced to increase prices because of majority of «Koh Tao Dive Club» members supported this decision.

PADI Bubblemaker on Koh Tao is a special diving program for children over the age of 8 and the maximum depth of this dives is 2 meters.

Divers who have Advanced Open Water Diver or Deep Diver certification level will get even more pleasure from diving because on the deeper parts of the site (30 or 40 m) you can meet huge sleeping cuttlefish or a fish floating upside down — Razorfish. And in order not to lose your head over underwater beauties, diving should be supervised by experienced instructors and PADI Divemasters who will promptly tell you about your decompression time and remind you of a safety stop, especially important at the end of a deep dive. In Scuba Birds dive center, located on Koh Tao and Ko Samui Islands, you can try a variety of programs for diving training.
From the PADI Discover Scuba Diving trial to the PADI Open Water Diver certification and above. Before your first dive, you will be asked to fill out a medical questionnaire containing a list of diseases for which the diving activity is prohibited or not recommended. If there are doubts about health, there is an opportunity to visit a doctor (the clinic is located in 10 minutes by walk from the dive center in Koh Tao), where you will be examined by specialists and issued a certificate of permission or prohibition for diving. The most dangerous diseases: asthma, epilepsy, narcolepsy, claustrophobia. Otitis, frontal sinuses, sinusitis are diseases that should be treated with caution, as there is a possibility that you can not equalize the pressure in the air cavity during dive.
There are no absolutely healthy people, but diving is available for most. After all, positive emotions are necessary for everyone.
